Florida Qualified Supervisor Training

Complete a 12-hour supervisory training after you are licensed, meet the Board's clinical experience requirement, then submit the Qualified Supervisor Affirmation Statement with your training certificate to the Board office. Once approved, your online license verification will show Qualified Supervisor status. Dr. Maria Martinez-Salazar has taught this training since 2013.

LMHCs and LMFTs need five years of clinical experience and LCSWs need four years. In each profession, two of those years can be earned during a post-master's clinical internship. You can take the 12-hour training before you meet the experience requirement and submit your certificate once you qualify.

Yes. Licensed psychologists are welcome in the live Zoom training. The Florida Board of Psychology lets psychologists count live courses approved by another Board in the Division of Medical Quality Assurance. The provider cannot report the hours for psychologists, so you self-report the course in your own CE Broker account.

Florida qualified supervisors complete a 4-hour supervisory training every third renewal. MeetYourSupervisor.com offers it two ways: a home study course for Regular $40, Now $27 (Special Holiday Promo Prices Until February 1, 2027) or a live group session on Zoom for $80. The 4-hour course keeps your status current. It does not qualify anyone to become a new qualified supervisor.

LMHCs, LMFTs and LCSWs need 30 CE hours every two years. Each renewal includes 2 hours of Prevention of Medical Errors and 3 hours of Ethics and Boundaries or Telehealth, which alternate. Every third renewal adds 3 hours of Laws and Rules and 2 hours of Domestic Violence. Qualified supervisors also add the 4-hour supervision course.

Yes. MDM Counseling and Mediation Services is a Florida Board-approved CE provider, Provider #50-11089, since 2009. After checkout, your course materials and post-test links arrive by email. Completed hours are reported to CE Broker for you. CEUs are reported to CE Broker within 24 hours.

The Intern Bundle covers the three courses Florida registered interns need around licensure. These are the 8 Hour Laws And Rules course, which includes a live 1-hour Zoom, HIV And AIDS for 3 hours and Domestic Violence for 2 hours. All three are updated for the 2026 Florida Statutes and current Board rules.
